My inspiration wall

When I moved into my LA apt,
one side of my room is a blank, white wall
Now it is transformed into my inspiration wall
I'm constantly adding/changing the pictures/photos/things on it.
Currently it is featuring:
pages from the Dec 2010 Anthropologie catalog
photographs of these little fellows,
a few lace doilies I found while moving,
a Chinese poem written in the hand of calligraphy master, Mi Di
that I bought at the National Place Musuem in Taiwan.
and lots and lots of Japanese masking tape.

  1. What a gorgeous start. I'm thinking of starting an inspiration board myself, but I'm not sure how to do that exactly -- I don't get magazines, most of what I find is on blogs. Maybe an inspiration folder? Sigh, it's just not a wall.

Happy New Year! Here's to lots of great beginnings.

  2. An inspiration wall is always a great thing. I could not live with a blank wall, and the ability to rotate things as you are inspired is always a wonderful thing! How often do you change the images, or do you just keep on adding to it?

  5. To Brandi, MuchLove and Abby: Thank you! It was really fun making it.

To Kim: I cannot live with a blank wall either, I just move or add pictures when the inspiration hits.
