Each year the magical creatures from a faraway land

brings the Holiday Spirit to Istan

a department store in Japan

They are created by Finnish artist Klaus Haapaniemi,

Here are some of my favorite displays:

but hurry, just like magic

the website will close after Christmas day

until next year when they will again come out to play.
