Present for my mother

This is my Mother's Day present to my darling mother.
I know this year's Mother's Day is especially hard for her
since my grandmother had just passed away in March.
So I wanted to make her something that she can hang up on her wall,
something she can look at everyday and know that we love her.
I cut the frame out of yellow paper, stuck it to a piece of grey paper
then wrote in the words with my Japanese ink pen.
The most difficult and enjoyable part was cutting out the frame,
Paper cutting is a lot harder than I thought!
The results turned out pretty well for first try.
Most importantly, my mother liked it!

這是我送給親愛的母親的母親節禮物.
我知道今年的母親節對她而言是個困難的時候
因為我的阿嬤才在不久之前過世.
於是我想要做個她可以掛在牆壁上的東西,
這樣她可以每天看到並且知道我們都很愛她.
我先用黃色的紙割出框,把框貼在灰色紙上,
然後用日本墨水筆寫上字.
最困難,也是最好玩是割框的步驟,
紙雕真的比我想像中的困難!
對於第一次嘗試紙雕的新手而言成品還不錯,
最重要的是,我的母親很喜歡這個禮物!
